Getting Started

Download & Install

Download the current public MoryFlow build for macOS and set up your first vault.

Download & Install

MoryFlow currently publishes public downloads for macOS (Apple Silicon) and macOS (Intel).

Manual downloads and release notes live on GitHub Releases. In-app automatic updates also pull directly from GitHub Releases.

System Requirements

macOS

  • macOS 12.0 or later
  • Apple Silicon and Intel are both supported
  • 4 GB RAM or more

Windows

  • There is no current public installer
  • Do not rely on old materials that still mention a public Windows download

Choosing the Right Mac Build

  • Apple Silicon: M1, M2, M3, M4, and newer Apple Silicon Macs
  • Intel: Intel-based Macs running a supported version of macOS

If you are not sure, open Apple menu → About This Mac and check whether it shows Chip or Processor.

Install on macOS

  1. Download the .dmg
  2. Double-click to open it
  3. Drag MoryFlow into the Applications folder
  4. Open MoryFlow from Applications

If Gatekeeper still blocks the app

In the rare case macOS still blocks the app, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway, or right-click the app and select Open.

First Launch

When you first open MoryFlow, it asks you to choose a folder for your notes.

What is this folder?

This folder is your local vault. MoryFlow stores your notes as regular Markdown files there, so they stay readable outside the app too.

Recommended locations:

  • ~/Documents/MoryFlow
  • A dedicated work folder you already back up

If you want to use built-in cloud sync, set it up later in Cloud Sync Settings. If you prefer an external folder-sync workflow instead, see Multi-device Sync.
