Installation & Startup

macOS Says "Developer Cannot Be Verified"

Problem: First time opening MoryFlow, system says it can't verify the developer.

Solution:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
  2. Under "Security," click "Open Anyway"
  3. Or right-click the app and select "Open"

Windows Won't Open After Installation

Problem: Installed, but clicking the icon does nothing.

Solution:

  1. Check if antivirus software is blocking it
  2. Try running as administrator
  3. Re-download the installer and reinstall

Stuck on Loading Screen

Problem: Opens but keeps showing loading.

Solution:

  1. Wait a bit—first launch may take 10-20 seconds
  2. If it never loads, restart the app
  3. Check if you have enough disk space
  4. Delete config files and try again (paths below)

Config file locations:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/MoryFlow/
  • Windows: %APPDATA%/MoryFlow/

AI Configuration

API Key Invalid

Problem: Configured API Key, but says it's invalid.

Solution:

  1. Make sure you copied the full key without extra spaces
  2. Check if the key has expired
  3. Confirm your account balance is sufficient
  4. Confirm you selected the right provider

AI Not Responding

Problem: Sent a message, but AI doesn't respond at all.

Solution:

  1. Check your network connection
  2. Confirm you've configured an API Key
  3. Confirm you selected an available model
  4. Look for any error messages

Response Cut Off

Problem: AI response stops mid-way.

Possible causes:

  • Unstable network
  • Hit the model's output length limit
  • Provider having temporary issues

Solution:

  1. Try again
  2. Simplify your question
  3. Try a different model

Do I Need a VPN?

Answer: Depends on your provider.

Editor

Input Method Issues

Problem: Issues with non-English input (e.g., duplicate characters).

Solution:

  1. Make sure your input method is up to date
  2. Try a different input method
  3. Restart MoryFlow

Save Failed

Problem: Edited but says save failed.

Possible causes:

  • File is being used by another program
  • Not enough disk space
  • No write permission

Solution:

  1. Close other programs that might be using the file
  2. Check disk space
  3. Confirm you have write permission to the notes folder

Formatting Display Issues

Problem: Markdown formatting not displaying correctly.

Solution:

  1. Check if Markdown syntax is correct
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Restart the app

File Management

Can't Find My Notes

Problem: Notes I created before are gone.

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Use the search feature
  2. Check if they're in another folder
  3. Confirm the notes folder path is correct
  4. Check if cloud sync is complete
  5. Check system trash/recycle bin

File Conflicts

Problem: Conflict files appeared after cloud sync.

Solution:

  1. Compare the content of conflict files
  2. Manually merge what you need
  3. Delete the conflict copy
  4. See Multi-device Sync for more

Can't Delete File

Problem: Delete operation failed.

Solution:

  1. Confirm file isn't being used by another program
  2. Check write permissions
  3. Delete manually in file manager

Performance Issues

App Is Laggy

Problem: Feels slow to use.

Solution:

  1. Close unnecessary other apps
  2. Reduce open tabs
  3. If you have too many files, archive old ones
  4. Restart the app

High Memory Usage

Problem: MoryFlow using too much memory.

Solution:

  1. Close unneeded tabs
  2. Restart the app
  3. Check if you have many unclosed conversations

Ollama Model Loading Slow

Problem: First response is very slow when using Ollama.

This is normal: The model needs to load into memory.

How to optimize:

  1. Use a smaller model
  2. Keep Ollama service running
  3. Add more RAM

Privacy & Security

Is My Data Safe?

Answer: Yes, we take data security seriously.

  • Note data: Stored completely locally, never uploaded
  • AI conversations: Sent to AI provider when using cloud models
  • Configuration: Stored locally
  • Usage data: We don't collect any usage data

Will My API Key Leak?

Answer: No.

  • API Keys are stored in local config files
  • Not uploaded to our servers
  • Only used when calling the corresponding AI service

How to Use Completely Offline?

Solution: Use Ollama local models.

  1. Install Ollama
  2. Download a local model
  3. Select Ollama model in MoryFlow
  4. Works offline

How to Report Issues?

How to Check Version Number?

Open Settings → About, and you'll see it there.

How Often Are Updates?

MoryFlow is continuously updated with new features and bug fixes. We recommend enabling auto-update, or periodically downloading the latest version from the website.

What Languages Are Supported?

Currently the interface supports:

  • Simplified Chinese
