Notes Folder
All your notes are stored in this folder.
Just a Regular Folder
MoryFlow notes aren't some special format—just regular Markdown files stored in a folder you choose.
This means:
- Open them with VS Code, Typora, or Notepad
- If you stop using MoryFlow someday, your notes are still yours
- Want to migrate to another app? Just copy them over
- Want to use Git for version control? Absolutely
The File List on the Left
Open MoryFlow and the left side shows your folder structure.

Display rules
- Only shows
.md files and folders
- Hidden files starting with
. are not shown
- Folders first, sorted by name
Expand/collapse
- Click the arrow in front of folders
- Or double-click the folder
Common Actions
Create a Note
- Click the + button at the top left
- Or right-click → New Note
- Just type a name, no need for
.md
Create a Folder
Right-click → New Folder → type a name
Rename
- Right-click → Rename
- Or select and press
F2
Move
Drag and drop, or right-click → Move to...
Delete
Right-click → Delete
Don't worry
Deleted files go to the system trash—you can recover them if you made a mistake.
Open in Finder/Explorer
Right-click → Show in Finder (Mac) or Show in Explorer (Windows)
Search
Quick Find Files
Press ⌘ + P (Mac) or Ctrl + P (Windows), type part of the filename to find it.
Search Contents
Ask Mory to help:
Find which notes mention "project plan"
Switch Folders
If you have multiple folders you want to switch between:
- Open Settings
- Find the notes folder path under "General"
- Click "Change" to select a new one

- Names should tell you what it is
- Want chronological order? Add a date prefix:

- Don't use these characters:
/ \ : * ? " < > |
